How Multi-Factor Authentication Works
Setting up Multi-factor authentication for your GoGet account and how it works
G
At GoGet, your safety and security are just as important to us as getting you from A to B. That’s why, alongside the launch of our new GoGet app, we’re introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) - to help better protect your account.
GoGet's new app will be progressively rolled out to members throughout January 2026.
What’s Changing
With the new app, all GoGet members will be asked to:
- Reset their password, and
- Set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using both their email and mobile phone.
This means you’ll verify your identity not just with your password, but also with a one-time code sent to your registered device or email — helping ensure it’s really you logging in.
If you no longer have access to your login email address and need to update it, give us a call on 1300 769 389 and the team will be happy to help.
Why We’re Doing This
It adds an extra layer of protection to your account, making it much harder for anyone else to access it - even if they somehow got access to your password.
For GoGet members, that means greater peace of mind and safer sharing within our car-sharing community.
How It Works
When you log into the new app for the first time, you’ll be prompted to reset your password and link your GoGet account to your email and mobile phone.
It’s fast, secure, and only takes a moment.
What You Need to Do
When the new app launches:
- Follow the on-screen prompts to reset your password
- Enable MFA with your email and mobile number
- That’s it! You’re all set to enjoy GoGet with added peace of mind.
